Wurzelviech Environment Concept Art

For my concept art class we had to create concept art for an environment. The idea behind this environment is a mystical kingdom high in the sky, nestled within the treetops of an ancient forest. The kingdom’s living spaces are built around and within the trees themselves, with homes and structures blending into the branches and trunks. The heart of the kingdom is its grand castle, situated atop a centuries-old tree. Following a long- fought war between rival kingdoms, the victors seized the tree and transformed it into their fortress, creating a strong symbol for their community. The kingdom is designed to be a place of both beauty and defense, with tunnels leading directly inside and outside the castle and various hidden escape routes that offer protection in times of need.
